The short version: this site is designed to know as little about you as possible.
Any figures you enter — income, investment amounts, allowances — are processed entirely on your own device and are never transmitted, stored, or seen by us.
There are no user accounts. We run no analytics and set no cookies, so there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
If you choose to sign up to be notified when the full site launches, your email address is collected and stored by Buttondown, the newsletter service we use, on the lawful basis of your consent (confirmed by double opt-in). We use it for exactly one thing: sending you one email when the site launches. We will not send anything else, will never share or sell the list, and will delete the list after the launch email is sent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you — which, unless you signed up for the launch email, is none. Email junyizhu.gai@gmail.com and we'll act on it promptly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Links to external sites (gov.uk, the Bank of England, NS&I, the DMO) are plain links with no tracking parameters; those sites have their own privacy policies.
